riding on a pink cloud through a sea of flowers.
sheer dress / vintage
long-sleeve shirt / uniqlo
shiny leggings / am apparel
shoes / f21
pashmina scarf / street vendor
years ago, i had dropped in a new vintage store on the drag in austin. this blue floral dress was peeping at me from between two non-descrip items, so as soon as i pulled it out of the rack, i squealed inside. the color was magical. and it was sheer and fit so perfectly, though a bit longer than i liked it.
i had done the sheer thing in high school, but never with quite as pretty a fabric, nor with such lovely colors. i would soon go on to wear the dress to many special occasions. but now that leggings have blown up over the last few years, i tend to throw it on to for errands/work more than anything else. funny how some pieces of clothing go through certain phases.

The Stylish Wanderer
WOW.
ReplyDeleteI am in love with your photos. The contrast between the starkness of the white wall and the bright red.
I LOVE THOSE SHOES! I just saw them on the F21 website but they were out of my size :(:(
ReplyDeletethe stylish wanderer - thank you so much ! you're probably the very first person who has "linked" me. i'm still new to these terms because i just joined, but i find it thrilling. :) the space i'm modeling in is my apartment living room in new york, and it is maybe 2-3 times bigger than the picture indicates, although i may eventually add a wall that will separate the space in half. anyway, it's definitely one of my favorite things about my home.
ReplyDeleteurban audrey - i'm not sure how you found my little blog, but i'm so happy you did ! i've been reading your blog for a while now and it has quickly become a favorite. i'm so glad you liked the photos; i always enjoy yours immensely as well.
nv - aren't they great ? i saw them at the store for the longest time and it seemed like no one was touching them ! i knew i wanted them the first time i saw them, but once i tried them on, there was no turning back. walking in them was like heaven. i can walk uptown and downtown and frolick and jump, it's pretty amazing. it's really too bad they're sold out !
I really love the outfit and especially the shoes !
